  • in 2014, Baby Health celebrated 100 years!  We have been Caring for Central Kentucky's Children for over a Century!

From a 20 year veteran of Baby Health Board:

"Baby Health has been a part of my life for close to 20 years. From the first time I walked into the clinic and saw so many children and their families depending on us, to the present where there are still children in need of our free health care, I continue to be moved...Our clinic is a safe place where every child is treated with the upmost compassion and care. While the volunteers and staff and patients have changed in 20 years, the commitment of Baby Health to care for every uninsured child remains constant as it has for over 100 years.  It is a joy to be a part of such a worthy organization." - Nellie Wilkinson

Giving for the Future

  • We care for the whole child.  We educate parents and children about healthy habits during routine physical examinations.  We advise them on the importance of dental cleanings and checkups.  We are there for our families.
  • Healthy children mean fewer emergency room visits and fewer missed school days.  Baby Health has an important role in the community providing care for the children of Central Kentucky.
  •  Through the volunteer efforts of our physicians and board members, Baby Health Service, Inc. is able to keep its operating costs to a minimum. Part-time pediatric nurse practitioners and registered nurses are the only paid staff at the clinic.
  • Since our patients pay nothing for treatment, Baby Health Service, Inc. absorbs the rising costs of medicines, lab tests, and immunizations.

This is where we need you!

"Sometimes the stories we hear make us pause and think about how some of our patients and families have suffered on their way to us.  We have a new family who left their out-of-state home so quickly that they brought very few possessions and none of their records with them. They have a sense of desperation to get their children settled into school that inspires us to treat them with extra kindness.  We so want to be the kind of place that makes people feel safe and welcomed.  That's the foundation on which Baby Health was built and we're honored to continue the tradition. We thank each and every one of you who give your time, expertise, and finances to support us!" - Donna, April, Elise, Delwin, Jessica, and Liz for Team Baby Health
